| Representing the fourth generation of his family born, raised, educated
and living in Jim Wells County, Richard is no stranger to us. He
is the son of Bob and Mary Lou Terrell.
For the past 22 years, Richard has built a solid legal, professional
and personal reputation as a private attorney, public servant, community
advocate, husband and father.
As general counsel for the City of Alice, JWC Sheriff’s Department and
the Alice Housing Authority, Richard has provided our local elected and
appointed officials and law enforcement personnel with professional, efficient
and effective legal advice and representation.
Richard is married to the former Belinda Cantu of Falfurrias, daughter
of Anita Cantu and the late Baldo S. Cantu. Richard and Belinda have
lived in Alice since their marriage 16 years ago and have two children:
Andrea, 14, and Robert, 12. Both attend Alice public schools.
Whether it’s coaching his son’s little league team, sponsoring area
youth and adult sporting teams and community events, or serving as
an assistant scout leader, Richard works hard to stay involved in his children’s
lives and his community.
Let’s put Richard’s qualifications, legal experience and commitment
to fairness, objectivity and community safety to work for us as our next
District Judge.
